Its been nearly a month since I've been able to post, but to let you all know I just celebrated my 26th birthday on the 10th. *^_^* It was pretty uneventful, but I still had a good time. My mother-in-law got me Tarot of the Cat People; a cat-themed tarot deck with art by Karen Kuykendall and made in Italy. I haven't looked at them all yet, but from what I've seen so far, the artwork is beautiful. I am a HUGE cat-lover (4 of these cuddly sweeties reside in my household) & I'm very pleased with it. I went and had tea with a good friend and talked about books for a few hours; then got to go for a huge seafood dinner with my parents and hubby. Not incredibly eventful, but a good time nonetheless ^_^

I picked up my copy of the Disgaea manga and reserved my copy of the last Harry Potter book this week. My personal thoughts concerning the plot are that Snape will turn out to be loyal to the Order, but will die, along with either Hermione or Ron... Boo-hoo for the loss of such a tasty character as Snape ,-_-, No matter what though, I'm a Snape-ist and he could always find a haven with me, just like Capt. Barbossa ^_~*

*shrug* Hey, what can I say? I've always been attracted to 'villains.' Hehehe.

Speaking of everyone's favorite pirate captain, I've been tossing around a fanfiction idea starring him. Somewhat inspired by the statement of Geoffrey's concerning his hopes for Captain Barbossa, in getting the girl at the end of it all... but it will not be sweet Lizzie (even though I'm still fond of the pairing). I really like the idea I came up with and hope it will be an enjoyable read, but it will be considered Alternate Universe, post DMC . Miss Mary-Sue Swann will be off with Jack and Will, but Barbossa will be taking command of a ship of his own and have his own little adventure. Once I get a chapter or two done, I will be looking for a beta reader/editor, so if anyone is interested, drop me a comment.

BTW, what are thoughts on my newest icon? Just a little more fun with my favorite pirate...

For those who have not read my first post, Paragon is my personal website. I plan on keeping a log of updates & changes with it here in my LJ, but to keep things straight they will all begin with Project: Paragon. 
I've been interested in web design for a long time and my site has gone through many incarnations... with some truly horrifying names... *looks around with shifty eyes* But I've finally come up with a something that I can live with and I have been working with it the past few days. 

This is an invitation for anyone to swing by and visit, in case you might be curious... but please keep in mind, it is a work in progress and new things will be added all the time. Its just another place for me to share the things I enjoy with anyone who happens to come and look. ^_^
